My mouse started to get jumpy, even though it had always been one of the smoothest tracking mice I've ever used (wired or wireless).
This seems to have done the trick:
Make sure Mouse is fully charged (Battery indicator shows device is charged)
Turn the Mouse ON,
Hold Down the Left Button,
Turn the mouse OFF then ON (left Button still held down),
Click the right Button 5 times (left Button still held down),
Then release both buttons,
Cursor should move.

Worked Like a charm thank you so much!
Is this a universal combination? I can't see any record of this from Logitech and I've a jumpy Anywhere MX (only in the y-axis) and I really don't want to buy another one if there's a simple fix like this available.
Wow!!! Excellent. I have one a few years old. The yellow LED would flash, then the red LED would too. No movement in cursor whatsoever. I changed batteries 3 times and nothing. I even tried to find a fix on Logitech....nothing. So glad I clicked on this blog. This trick is awesome....works outstanding now. Thanks a bunch!!!
Perfect fix! Just what it needed after many years of service. Thanks for the post!
